About the Journal

OBOR: Oikonomia Borneo is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Economics, Universitas Widya Gama Mahakam Samarinda, Indonesia. The journal provides a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, students, and policymakers to disseminate original research and scholarly contributions in the fields of economics and business. Topics include accounting and financial reporting, corporate finance, financial markets, management, human resources, marketing, entrepreneurship and MSMEs, taxation, Sharia economics and finance, sustainability and ESG, digital transformation, financial technology (fintech), and emerging technologies in business. The journal accepts empirical, theoretical, conceptual, and interdisciplinary studies addressing contemporary issues in economics.

Starting with Volume 08, OBOR: Oikonomia Borneo publishes in both Indonesian and English. OBOR: Oikonomia Borneo is committed to publishing high-quality scholarly work that contributes to the advancement of economics and business knowledge while offering relevant insights for both academic and professional practice, particularly within the contexts of Indonesia, Asia, and the global community.

The journal is published biannually—in April and October—and accepts manuscripts on a rolling basis, subject to editorial and peer-review processes.
