Conflict of Interest

OBOR: Oikonomia Borneo is committed to maintaining transparency, objectivity, independence, and integrity throughout the scholarly publishing process. A conflict of interest may arise when personal, professional, financial, or other relationships could potentially influence judgments or decisions concerning submitted or published manuscripts.

Authors must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest related to their research and publication, including financial relationships, institutional affiliations, professional or personal relationships, research funding, and other interests that could affect the objectivity of their work. Funding sources and the role of funders must be transparently stated in the manuscript.

Editors and reviewers are also required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and withdraw from handling or reviewing a manuscript if a relationship or interest could compromise their objectivity. Where necessary, the editor will appoint an independent alternative to handle the manuscript.

Disclosure of a conflict of interest does not automatically result in manuscript rejection. Each potential conflict will be assessed based on its nature, extent, and possible impact on research integrity and the peer-review process.

OBOR: Oikonomia Borneo reserves the right to request additional information or take appropriate measures to ensure that editorial and publication processes remain fair, transparent, and free from undue influence.
