Authorship Criteria

1. Authorship Requirements

Jurnal Ekonomika: Management, Accounting and Islamic Banking requires authorship to be based on genuine and substantial contributions to the research and preparation of the manuscript. Each individual listed as an author must meet the following criteria:

  1. Make a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the research, data collection, data analysis or interpretation, or the intellectual development of the manuscript.

  2. Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.

  3. Read, review, and approve the final version of the manuscript submitted for publication.

  4. Accept responsibility for their contributions and help ensure the integrity and accuracy of the published work.

Individuals who do not meet the authorship criteria but provide supporting contributions may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section, with their consent.

Authorship must not be granted solely on the basis of academic position, institutional authority, seniority, professional relationships, or financial support. Improper authorship practices, including gift authorship, guest authorship, and ghost authorship, are not permitted.

2. Corresponding Author

The Corresponding Author serves as the primary contact between all authors and the editorial team of Jurnal Ekonomika throughout the submission, peer-review, revision, and publication processes.

The Corresponding Author is responsible for ensuring that:

  1. All listed authors meet the journal's authorship criteria.

  2. All authors have read and approved the submitted manuscript.

  3. The order of authors has been agreed upon by all authors before submission.

  4. Author names, affiliations, and contribution statements are accurate and complete.

  5. All funding sources, conflicts of interest, and other relevant information are transparently disclosed.

  6. Editorial and reviewer communications and revision requests are shared with all relevant authors.

3. Author Order and Changes in Authorship

The order of authors must be determined through mutual agreement, taking into account each author's contribution, before the manuscript is submitted.

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must be supported by a clear explanation and written consent from all affected authors. The editor may request supporting documentation or additional clarification before considering the proposed change.

Changes in authorship after acceptance or publication may only be considered under justifiable circumstances and in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and applicable publication ethics standards.

4. Author Contributions Statement

Authors are encouraged to provide an Author Contributions Statement describing each author's role in the research and preparation of the manuscript. Contributions may include conceptualization, methodology, data collection, data analysis, drafting the original manuscript, reviewing and editing, and research supervision.

All authors must approve the submitted contribution statement. The editor may request clarification if discrepancies arise between the stated contributions and the information provided in the manuscript.

5. Use of Artificial Intelligence

Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-assisted technologies cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume scientific and ethical responsibility for the content of an article.

Human authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and entire content of the manuscript, including material developed with AI assistance. The use of AI in manuscript preparation must be transparently disclosed whenever required by the journal's policy. AI tools must not replace the authors' responsibility to verify data, check sources, and exercise independent scholarly judgment.
